Bounty TouchPad Android port HP now for $ 2,000

HP-TouchPad-Android-600x476

Bounty for a workable version of the Android operating system installed on the touchpad HP now discontinued — up to $ 2000 + to date.

As we reported earlier, the objective of this project is to get some version of Android 2. x on the touchpad and, most importantly, stable. In the case of the success of these efforts will help keep the HP Tablet is a little more meaningful for those unfortunate early adopters, who departed with the mobile operating system, whose future is uncertain.

The project is headed by the Modding community, called HackNMod who would say to divide the money for the developers who achieve certain milestones, such as the first get up in the "core" port is working, the first to get Wi-Fi works, the first to get audio functional etc $ 450 for Android port comes from HackNMod, while the rest will come from sponsors.

Today, the popular site XDA developers Forum announced it, too, becomes in the effort and merged with the HackNMod to increase Bounty for more than $ 2000. His gift comes from the anonymous members of XDA. XDA also has a special forum for touchpad and touchpad development. Announces increased Bounty forum thread is here.

One group look as part of this effort is RootzWiki, which operates its own their own "Touchdroid" project in detail here. Something tells us that they will end up with a good bit of this cash prize.
