Exhausted from a couple of weeks in the ring of European trials, Apple has tagged Microsoft, to pick up a combat Android. And it would seem that divide and conquer strategy is Pan quite nicely Duet, we never thought we would.

Microsoft today filed a lawsuit accusing Google bride, Motorola mobility, attacks on seven patents by Microsoft, which just so happen to include the Android. Before the International Trade Commission in Washington, United States, Microsoft requested a ban on the import of certain smartphones Motorola.

Some of the features that the allegedly infringing Motorola include synchronization of e-mail, calendars and contacts, schedule appointments, and a way to alert application changes because of signal strength and battery. Microsoft calls these things "needed to Smartphone users." then again, Microsoft claims that all Android devices make use of its technology. Motorola application include Droid, Droid 2 X, Cliq assigns XT, Devour, safe and charm.

According to Bloomberg, Microsoft believes "ITC will manage in [his] benefit." in the meantime, Motorola spokeswoman Jennifer Erickson against Bloomberg said that Motorola "actively protects [himself] against the business strategy of Microsoft in patent attacks and business strategy is exactly what it is.

We all know that Google scooping up Motorola for one very basic reasons (although there are other great ones) — Motorola conducts almost 15000 granted patents, with nearly 7000 applications. So I think this is actually a 22000 key reasons, though only about 18 of them will make a true difference in patent fights. However, this can be quite firmly defend Android through the next few years, leaving the iOS and Android far ahead on each operating system on the market.

While Apple and Microsoft have long been bitter, acrimonious rivals, Microsoft was forced to choose the lesser evil. In the next few years at least, Windows phone does not take the throne by any stretch of the imagination. But with webOS, dropping out of the race, along with Symbian fall far behind in North America, Windows phone has a good shot of stealing away the number three spot from rim, whose market share continues to decline.

But if you think outside of the near future, Windows phone has even greater potential. Can Nokia, but the company is struggling again proved that it knows how to build on the phone. Mango is something fresh and intuitive, and with equipment, Nokia, Microsoft could even be ready to grab a spot number two eventually. But first, kill one of the big boys.

Since the Apple platform is completely closed and makes its own devices, the broad scope of Android seems more productive goal. Apple already threw punch after punch on Samsung, with a few JABS, here and there left for the HTC. This means that Microsoft can focus on what is left of developers Android hardware — Motorola.
