We have heard our share of the app store's woes in recent weeks, but here's one that, unfortunately, continues. The number of developers Android app claiming to support forum Android market that amount of money they have already given do not match the number of apps they actually sold.
The problem began on 26 July, when the besieged dev wrote:
something I noticed that over the past 2 days: a list of orders in winnings does not match the list of charged orders. And I don't mean that I miss one or two orders … no, I'm getting paid for less than half of all orders!
From the fact that the developers were able to piece together the flow of their purchase that they are not all done through Android market online store. Customers ' credit cards seem to have been indicted and are sent via Google Checkout, but no benefits for developers.
A lot of discussion during the next 9 days until Google has finally made their official response:
Thanks for posting and for your patience. We know about the problem, and we are working on fixing it. After the fix is (soon!), orders should be placed in the correct state, which will enable reimbursable amount payments. So if your July work payments were bad, you will be notified, and 1 September payment will contain the missing amount.
According to Google there is no official ETA for a fix, but they are actively involved in contacting affected developers via email, notifying them of the situation.
Although we are fully convinced that Google will eventually make it right, a little transparency would go a long way here, especially considering how valuable independent developers for the successful implementation of the platform. The Devs have affected more than the patient, but it never hurts to draw attention to ground-level problems such as this just keep large companies like Google honest. It's also possible there is more out there who haven't heard of Google at all and simply baffled by their low income (you can check your, just in case). Assistance should be on the road; be sure to voice your concerns support officially from Google and hope things will be resolved soon.
